Schwab adds Solana, Avalanche and Chainlink to its crypto platform

Schwab's other AI story this year, AI Portfolio Insights, was about narrative summaries, not trading access. This one is about something entirely different: what you can actually buy.
What's expanding
Schwab is adding Solana, Avalanche and Chainlink to its crypto trading platform, extending the Bitcoin and Ether access it launched in May across its 39.9 million retail accounts. The fee is 75 basis points, and the expansion isn't live yet as of this writing.
Why it's a bigger deal than a token count
Schwab moving from two crypto assets to five, at retail scale, is a different kind of signal than a new startup adding altcoin support. It's one of the largest incumbent brokers treating crypto as a normal, expanding part of its core product rather than a side experiment.
Why this matters if you use Cresori
Schwab is one of the brokers Cresori connects to directly. If you hold SOL, AVAX or LINK through Schwab once this goes live, that's new position types in an account Cresori already tracks, worth knowing the expansion is coming before it shows up in your history.
