tastytrade adds near-24/5 overnight trading for index options

A busy stretch for tastytrade continues, prediction markets in July, now near round-the-clock index options.

What launched

Through Cboe's Global Trading Hours, tastytrade clients can now trade SPX, VIX, XSP and RUT options overnight, from 8:15pm to 9:25am ET, plus a "Curb" session from 4:15 to 5:00pm ET right after the regular close. It runs on the same order ticket and workflow as regular-hours trading, not a separate overnight platform.

Why it matters beyond the headline

Overnight index-options access changes when a trade can actually land in an account, not just what's tradable. A position opened at 2am now shows up with a timestamp and fill price that regular-hours-only account activity never had to account for, which matters for anything downstream that processes trade data by session.
